"Roof knocking"

Izraelci se zřejmě mnohdy snaží co nejvíce omezit civilní oběti svých vojenských akcí v Palestině. Viz např. "roof knocking".

"Knocking the roof" is the Israeli military practice of warning the residents of a building they are targeting that they should get out. Warnings can come via a phone call or a warning missile: In this case, the occupant of the house, Samir Nofal, received both, Watania reports (it's worth noting that the video's description says the second missile strike came five minutes after the first, so the footage may have been edited). Okolo času 1:15 je vidět střih (viz kouř prachu vycházející z okna zasažené budovy ve 2. patře). Nevím, co si myslet o načasování. Pokud je popisek správný, je 5 minut vhodný časový odstup?

Kritici tvrdí, že telefonní hovory jsou často spíše prostředkem psychologického teroru a že "roof knocking", tedy střílení raketami, nelze považovat za efektivní "varování".

Nutno uznat, že mezi varováním a útokem je jistý rozdíl. Ale už i varování vysype okna...
