Newsweek diskutuje přínos "záchranných misí" amerických osobností v jihovýchodní Asii (Clinton a dvě novinářky v Severní Koreji a senátor Webb v Barmě).
"Why were three idiots worth rescue missions by a former U.S. president and a serving U.S. senator? They weren't kidnapped; they weren't hostages. All three knowingly broke the laws of the countries they were in, and, in the process, brought harm to innocents. (...) The answer is realpolitik. Paul Krugman se rozčiluje, že "Washington, it seems, is still ruled by Reaganism — by an ideology that says government intervention is always bad, and leaving the private sector to its own devices is always good." a vysvětluje, proč by věk Reagana měl být již dávno pryč. Krugman právě v reaganistech vidí původce ekonomické krize.

Podle Luboše Palaty se na stránkách ruského ministerstva obrany píše, že druhou světovou válku rozpoutalo Polsko.
